Bible Board Games for Adults
Nowadays there are a lot of different options when it comes to adult board games that are based off the Bible. These games are great for adult Bible Study get-togethers or just a small party with some Christian friends. These games can even be played at family functions or family night if you have older children.
Here are some of the most popular Bible board games for adults.
Bible Edition of Outburst
This game is very similar to the original version of Outburst, but instead of naming presidents you have to name books of the Bible or the Ten Commandments. Each category is based off the Bible and the other team has a small period of time to guess the 10 answers that are on the card. They get a point for each right answer and the team with the most points at the end wins the game.
Trivial Pursuit Bible Edition
This is probably one of the most popular Bible board games for adults and has been around for many years and even has an updated version. Each team or player must travel around the game board answering questions that pertain to the Bible in different categories to win the colored chips from each category. The team or player who gets all the color chips and gets to the winner’s circle first wins the game. Some questions may be a little more difficult which is why this game is recommended for adults rather than kids.
Scattergories Bible Edition
This game is kind of like Outburst but is slightly different. Each player or team is given a list of categories for each round and must write down an answer based of the letter that is rolled on the die for that round. You get a point for each answer you get only if no other team or player writes down that answer. The team with the most points at the end of the game wins the game. The categories all relate to the Bible and include things like “Another name for the Holy Spirit” or “Sins.” This game says it can be for kids but it can get quite difficult which is why I believe it is better for adults or older teens.
These games should be a good starting point for some Bible related board games for adults that you can play with your fellow Christians.
The Bottom Line Of Religion
Religion has always been a touchy subject. People have gone to war because of it. When it comes down to it, the conflicts that involve religion is about who is right and who is wrong. There’s always arguments about right and wrong with any topic from the best internet business to whether or not the Herbalife scam exists to whether cats are better than dogs. So what’s the truth? Who’s right when it comes to religion? The answer is no one is going to know. However, this isn’t the point.
The real point of religion is to teach people to be kind to one another. Every major religion in one form or another teaches to love others and to treat people as you want them to treat you. The details of each religion which people argue about is pointless. If the goal of trying to prove other people wrong and that you’re right causes war and bloodshed, then doesn’t that go against the true purpose of religion to begin with?
Of course, no matter what anyone says, no matter how good an argument can be, there will always be people who will fight you on it. Religion has given the world both peace and bloodshed. It has created both love and hate. These conflict will never go away unless a creator, if there is one, appears and sets the record straight.
